Our office is located in HILO HAWAII. We offer FREE pick up and drop off anywhere in the Hilo area between the hours of 7am-4pm...7 days a week. We do not serve the KONA AIRPORT...Sorry!
Our Holiday schedule with NO van pick-up or drop-off is: Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, December 24th-25th, and New Years Eve at 12:00 Noon to New Years Day at 12:00 Noon. Please make your travel arrangements around these special days...Mahalo!
Happy Campers Hawaii has a 7 day minimum rental. Shorter rentals are sometimes available (depending on the van rental schedule) with a fee.
Late fees and extra hours: Your rental day consists of a 24-hour period, starting at the time your rental begins. Extra hours are available at request, but are subject to charges of $10.00 per additional hour in excess of the (24 hour) rental day, until the extra hour charges equal the daily rate specified herein. Late fees will apply for any vechile not returned to the proper destination at the time discussed by Happy Campers Hawaii and the customer at the time of van pick-up.
Fuel and Service charge: We will provide you with a FULL TANK OF PREMIUM FUEL. Our policy is for the van to be returned FULL with PREMIUM FUEL. If Happy Campers Hawaii needs to fill the fuel tank when it is dropped off, we will charge a service fee of $7.00 for each gallon that we put into the tank, and process the fee off your credit card.
Damage/Security and Cleaning deposit: We require a $500.00 deposit to be "held" on your credit card at the time that your van rental begins. We DO NOT run the card and collect the money. As long as the van comes back in good working order without: Breakage and Damage inside or out, staining, soiling, or unusual odors beyond normal use, there is only a minimul fee of $50.00. If there is damage, repairs, or cleaning that needs to be addressed beyond the normal use of our van, the customer will be required to pay for the damages and or cleaning at a fee determined by Happy Campers Hawaii and/or a reputable cleaning/repair service. There is absoluely NO smoking or pets allowed in our vans. We pride ourselves in keeping these vans looking and running in top shape for each and every customer, and we hope that our customers will do the same! You can be sure that before you rent one of our custom vans it has been cleaned, sanitized, inspected, and checked by a trained auto machanic for safety and dependability.
Foreign and International drivers: An additional fee of $15.00 per day is added to the rental tariff for our insurance binder. Also, a $50.00 non-refunadable processing fee will be charged.
Cancellation fee: All cancellations must be confirmed in writing (e-mail, fax, or letter) A $50.00 processing charge applies to all cancellations made at anytime after deposit is excepted. For cancellations made less then 3 weeks prior to scheduled reservation date of van rental, or no shows, the reservation deposit shall be forfeited.
For cancellation of days off the Reserved dates (a shortened trip) made more then 3 weeks prior to rental, a $50.00 processing fee will be charged. If cancellation of days is made less then 3 weeks prior to rental date you will be charged those days whether you use them or not.
We will gladly ship back any items that are left in the van at the customers exspense. The cost of shipping items left in the van will be determined by the US Postal service fees.
No refunds for late van pick-ups or early van returns from designated dates.
